Flash fiction/nonfiction human-authored writing contest! Winning prize: WE WILL PUBLISH YOUR BOOK! The winners must have a completed manuscript to be eligible for our winning prize. Early deadline: August 1, 2026. Final deadline: August 15, 2026. Early submissions have the biggest chance of winning. Please follow the guidelines below for where and how to submit your story. Here are the rules and submission guidelines: There will be three winners and three finalists. Your submissions must be approximately a 1,000 word flash fiction or flash nonfiction, essay, or work. Political or religious nonfiction is ineligible. Submissions to NBAP-Literary must include the story title, your first and last name (and pen name if applicable), your city, state, zipcode, and email address. You must be 18 years or older to submit your work or a parent may submit the work on your behalf if you are 16 or 17 years old, the minimum age of the submission.
Winning Prize: Library Publishing House will publish your manuscript (political, religious, AI authored submissions, and stories requiring illustrations are ineligible. Note: winning writers who have their own human-authored illustrations are eligible to be published). Your flash fiction/nonfiction may not use illustrations. Finalist prize: You will be published in the online NBAP-Literary.com Literary Zine. WHERE TO SUBMIT YOUR FLASH FICTION:
