Is the plan to vacate our Facebook site in favor of this place?

Alex Morton I think we're well-off out of there.

E. Writer Facebook is too chaotic. Visually, I can't get on without ten distractions. Too much anger and click-bait. The funny thing is how sneaky they are. My husband will be asleep right next to me and I will get a notification that he replied to my post. And I think, really? So when he replied hours ago, the platform withheld the notification and show it to me when they were ready. When you are dormant for a few hours, the algorithms will send you notifications to get you back on the platform scrolling. I saw an excellent documentary on Netflix about it called, The Social Dilemma.

Steven Terry Roy, unwarranted suspension? I smell an ICE raid.

Alex Morton Who were those masked bots?

Roy Scarbrough Well here's the thing for me. Foolishly I used it as a place to store writing that I made no other copies. Foolishly, I never established other ways to contact friends I had acquired over the years, not without a lot of effort.

Through facebook, I maintained a with a rewarding on going correspondence cousin I had seen in many decades. Through facebook, I established on going correspondence with a childhood friend who lived next door to the house where I grew up. He is the only one from that time of my life.

I hope I get my account back so I can continue the many correspondents with people I know from around the world. There's painters and sculptors in florence. A couple of dear communists in London.
