Dimples the Kitten has gotten me to the point where I sleep when he sleeps or when he's gone. Can't sleep at night. Gotta wait until the sun rises. Why are cats so hyper from dusk till dawn will forever make me mad

With how hot it is and this poor kitten keeping me up, I can feel my body starting to turn against me. I'm keeping myself calm but the jittering is starting

This is the only thing that has kept the little dimples calm. I will have this on until he feels comfortable
Japan must be stopped
Alex Morton It's a caricature of a genre that's a caricature of music.
SJ Blues strangely, after a minute, the mashup does work
Alex Morton It's just not my style of music. As the French say, chaque un a son gout (each to his own taste). As a musician and writer I like melody, phrasing, originality and lyrics that approach poetry. I guess I'm just a dinosaur.
As a writer, I am so jealous of artists. When I need to describe something, like a suit of armor, I have to find the right way to not only describe the armor, but make it read as the coolest armor ever, without being overly descriptive, AND make it all make sense. Writers are handicapped by words
Alex Morton Every art has an inherent handicap. Painters have to say everything in one "sentence". Dancers ... no matter how good they are ... have to deal with gravity ... kerthump! Musicians are limited by physical capability and muscle memory. I think its overcoming those limitations that makes for great work. Picasso was able to say absolutely everything about the Spanish Civil War in one painting ... Guernica.
E. Writer Beautifully said.
Frank Hutton Perhaps my greatest creative advantage is that I'm both a writer & a visual artist. Those two disciplines inform & compliment each other in myriad ways.
M. C. Ryder I need to see in order to describe and sometimes I need to take a break from writing, or staring at the blank screen, by taking a walk which helps me focus on what I want to describe. Just got to find what works for you!
Frank Hutton Yeah, that. Specific to writing, I've always got stuff on file to work over, when I need step away from a specific thing. Oodles of stuff to consider/reconsider, including folders empty of anything but a cogent idea. I like piles' of stuff. Helps keep me focused on the overriding goal, which is to always make the work cumulatively better. Bonus being that's how anyone doing anything increases their odds of success, however they define that.

I've been watching more Thai and Korean shows on netflix. The Girl from Nowhere is spooky and unhinged in the best way. Binged all of it. Friendly Rivalry I'm only at Episode 5 but I really like it. Today, I'm Feeling Welcome Home, which is supposed to be scary. I've also heard a lot of things about Bridgerton
His and Hers is a good series. Has its flaws but the twists were good. Solid B+
Eugenio Cappuccio Getting the hang of Leanne, humorist view of two over-the-hill sisters trying to cope with getting back into life after menopause, divorce, wrinkles, body shaming โ- two very sympathetic characters, funny lines & my addictive laugh track โฆ.
Eugenio Cappuccio One of the actresses used to be on Mom & one actor was doctor Herb in 2 1/2 men.
E. Writer I'll have to check it out. Its called Leanne
Eugenio Cappuccio Of course, no wonder I liked it. Genius, Midas-touch Chuck Lorre is behind it.
E. Writer It's weird but I tolerated Two and a Half Men. I did not like Big Bang Theory at all. Especially since it seems like it should have been my kind of show. I am not big on insult comedy or shows that are about teens as central characters. I used to love the show Martin until about Season 4 which is when the insult comedy grew out of hand. Mom is okay. I am not huge on sitcoms but 3rd Rock from the Sun and How I met Your Mother are my two favorites, Seasons 1 to 3 of Martin. I really enjoyed Scrubs. For years Scrubs was my favorite show during the early 2000s.
E. Writer Cats are most active at dawn or dusk. They tend to get into things during that time.
