E. Writer I can see how you arrive at that thought--because the calculation of time requires a mind or conscious being to measure or perceive it, so there are elements of time as a mental construct. The same with reality. You need a mind to perceive reality (idealism).

Frank Hutton There're reasons I've not worn a watch since about the age of ten. Puny numeric time is ubiquitous. Live in the woods long enough and pretty quick it's understood there're only two times during every day - light & dark. No phony numbers need ever apply. Good life, that.

E. Writer It reminds me of a question I ask in one of my books: does the universe exist without a conscious mind to perceive it? Conversely, does time? I love those questions and contemplating them.

Frank Hutton Back in my 20's I decided not to ponder no questions that can't be answered except maybe side of the grave. Even all these later and that much closer to the grave, I still don't. The wonder of corporeal existence (real or not) entirely suffices.

Roy Scarbrough That sucks. What also sucks is getting blocked by an inability to manage the stream of ideas, none ever leading to a complete piece of writing. I learned to day that when a squirrel robs a blue jay's food cache, it's called kleptoparasitism.
ADHD is both a blessing and a curse.

E. Writer I think after this book I will be done with writing for a looong time. Unless some other philosophy within me is pressing to get out. I have no interest in romance novels anymore. I have no other philosophy books in me to write, that I am interested in for now. This one took everything out of me because of the level of physics involved. That's part of the writer's block I'm experiencing.
