YOUNG Julie Do you ever think we are moving backwards, instead of forwards?
Alex Morton I remember seeing the Antikythera computer at the National Archaelogical Museum in Athens and puzzling over it. That was before the recreation of it and today's understanding of its purpose.
Alex Morton Julie, I certainly think that over the past couple of years we're seeing things going backwards, sociologically, in the US. With the reduction in science and medical grants, we're now seeing the slippage in those arenas, as well. I would never have imagined that there is an attitude to believe what you are told instead of what you actually see.

Alex Morton Nope. Microsoft Surface PC, running Windows 11. Very vanilla.

Alex Morton I tried to do a screen capture and paste it into a reply, but that doesn't work. How can I do it?

Frank Hutton It's a great coda and he delivers the line that nails the whole thing to the wall. Anyway, there're good reasons why Sinners has more Oscar noms than any movie ever. Won't win most of them I suppose, but still. Absolutely brilliant. And an abject example of how genre can be used to successfully deliver intellectual content that in a 'regular' movie would be rejected.
