I was watching some clips of that old show Scandal with Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn and I can understand the various comments about their characters. Chemistry was insane. There are other things that I want to mention, but I feel that's a video idea for when I return to Youtube
So, for my novel, I have a fairly rich character living in an alternate world of new york so I looked up the most expensive penthouse apartment. I found it...And I am legit horrified that some people live like this while others can barely afford the roof over their heads. This is pure, unfiltered greed.
E. Writer No one lives there. It's just for sale. In this economy, not too many takers I guess. I don't necessarily see it as greed, as it is roughly the size of other mansions and I prefer not to count what's in someone else's pockets or bank account. As an American, to people in other countries, even the way you live or the way we eat may be perceived as greed or in excess. It's relative. I also don't think this penthouse is a huge flex. Why? If anything happens, the building catches fire, or if there's some sort of attack... they're trapped at the top. The elevators will shut down, and they will have to travel many stories by foot to escape, decreasing their chances of survival. It's essentially a death trap if anything happens.
