Little balloons to celebrate spring. We used a flower, then a sun at first but I like the balloon better. It looks more like a colorful bubble.
There will be intermittent outages as maintenance is performed on the site today. These should last for a minute or two.

Server is being rebooted so we will be down for about ten minutes this morning.
Unexpected system outage today on the backend, with the entire network. A bit similar to how Cloudfare was down a few weeks ago, the networks that powers us was down for a few hours today. Afterwards, I restored the site to an earlier time than the outage to get everything connected and working again. This means anything you posted this afternoon may have disappeared.

Roy Scarbrough I like the night-sky too when I wake up in the middle of the night. Jupiter appears outside my window at 3 a.m., to the left of Orion. There's something reassuring to see that planet reliably in roughly the same place.
Roy Scarbrough I do use the Podcast ap to tune into my favorite podcasts. The local NPR station has one so that I toggle back and forth between their jazz and classical streams in the night.
E. Writer I'm using the Duolingo app to brush up on my Chinese. I was surprised by how much I still remember. I could speak Chinese but couldn't write or read Hanzi. I am learning Hanzi through the app. There are over 4,000 characters in Hanzi and only scholars know all of them. The average non-native person knows about a thousand, which is where I hope to land.
